Audit log and data retention
The audit log records every administrative action in your company: logins, campaign launches, changes to users, sender profiles, domains, integrations, and security settings. Use it for accountability and investigation.

Review audit entries after changes to users, sender profiles, domains, campaigns, integrations, or security settings, or when you are investigating something unexpected.
Data retention
Two retention settings are independent of each other. Both are on the Event log retention tab under Settings → Access & security:
- Event-log retention (1 to 60 months): how long individual campaign interaction rows (opens, clicks, submissions, bounces) are kept before a daily job deletes them. Aggregated campaign figures survive.
- Audit-log retention (12 to 60 months): how long the administrative audit entries themselves are kept.
Set both to match your data-retention and compliance policy.
